Power of plants
3 horticultural companies: de Ruiter Innovations, Coöperatie Inno Growers UA and Gova, look for the most potential crops with medicinal properties and supply them. HR makes extracts from this and, in collaboration with researchers from Erasmus MC, methods will be set up at HR and the VARTA Valorisation Lab to screen plant extracts for antimicrobial effect. Methods for high throughput screening are being set up through collaboration with the Dutch Extract Library. At the same time, the effect of the same extracts on metastatic prostate cancer is being tested by researchers at Erasmus MC.

MiFood BV
MiFood is concerned with the health of the consumer by offering healthy unique fruit and vegetable mixtures that have undergone a different processing. In order to demonstrate the healthy effect of the specific mixtures, MiFood has, in collaboration with Maastricht University conducted a 3-year human food intervention study with 200 healthy people. The results of this are now known and are much better than the original hypothesis.

Grünten makes 'ready-to-eat' snack and breakfast products, in sweet flavors, based on 25-40% vegetables, to seduce people into eating more vegetables in other eating moments than the usual suspects, by making it as convenient and delicious as possible.
Veggie Oats: 'ready-to-eat' porridge, in pie-based flavours, containing 25% of the RDA of veggies for breakfast
